In 1981, Ron and Diane Miller established Silverado Vineyards to make wine from the historic vineyards of their estate.  All of our wines come from our own vineyards except for this historic siteon the western edge of the Oakville appelation.  First planted in 1883, and now under the guidance of the University of California, Davis, this research station has played a key role in advancing the quality of California's grape growing.  We are pleased that working with the university has given us the opportunity to craft this limited bottling.

Tasting Notes
Beautiful aromatics of baked cherry, plum, purple flowers, cocoa and earth. Medium bodied with a toasty finish. Great balance on the palate with bright acidity.
Winemaker Notes
We picked at 23.9 degrees Brix. The wine aged for 19 months in 44% new oak (10% American, 90% French). The wine was bottled in July of 2015 with 602 cases produced.
