Our Zinfandel is a union of the vineyard and varietal histories. Zinfandel was first planted in California in the mid-1800s, and on our Borreo Ranch property in the 1880s. To honor this history, our Zinfandel vines are planted with bud wood from other historic Napa Valley vineyards and are head-trained. Soil and site limit the production of the vines. The resulting wines are deep ruby in color with aromas of freshly cracked pepper, wild berry patch, and savory spices.
